MicroDock II

The MicroDock II automated dock calibration system, available from Hetek Solutions Inc., is the most cost-effective way to manage the calibration and bump testing of Honeywell Analytics portable gas detectors. It does not require a computer for bump testing and calibration, is fully portable, and can be easily expanded. With the MicroDock II, you can manage up to six modules simultaneously. Maintain accurate records automatically for quick and easy compliance. The MicroDock II is certified to multiple international and regional standards.

Key Features of The MicroDock II

The MicroDock II dock calibration system is manufactured by Honeywell Industrial Automation, a global enterprise that has been around for more than five decades. It can be used by any of the industries serviced by Hetek, including gas utilities, water utilities, municipalities, and the midstream and upstream oil and gas sectors.

Key features of the MicroDock II are its ability to perform “hands-free” calibration and function bump testing. It stores and updates calibration records in the docking station and in data logging instruments. The MicroDock II is fully customizable and is ideal for simple, accurate record-keeping and fleet management. The system verifies the proper performance of detectors and automatically verifies the performance of audible and visual alarms. The docking station operates via a set of four C-cell batteries or 6V line power.

A range of accessories is available, including a MicroDock II portable system kit, Cal gas wall mount, demand flow regulator, and network USB. Hetek’s services include the repair and calibration of equipment sold by Hetek and several other instrumentation brands.

MicroDock II Applications

Safety is the top priority in any industry with at-risk workers, as it is with Hetek. Workers need protection at all times when working in a confined space or a gas leak hazard area, and their personal safety gas monitors must always be functioning optimally. The MicroDock II base station is the master unit responsible for recognizing, calibrating, testing, charging, and event recording every gas detector docked into the docking module. The following gas detectors can transfer event logs to the MicroDock II during a bump test or calibration:

  • GasAlert Extreme
  • GasAlertClip Extreme
  • GasAlertMicro
  • GasAlertMicro 5/PID/IR
  • GasAlertMicroClip
  • GasAlertMicroClip XT
  • GasAlertMax XT
  • GasAlertMax XT II
  • GasAlertQuattro

Additional self-contained docking modules can be connected to the system via simple plug-in connections. No external pressure transducers or gas lines are necessary. However, each gas cylinder attached to the system requires an individual demand flow regulator.

Technical Specifications

More detailed technical specifications are available in the MicroDock II automatic test and calibration station brochure and user manual.

  • Size – Base station plus one docking module: 21.2 x 26.3 x 8.2 cm (8.3 x 10.4 x 3.2 in.)
  • Data Storage – 128 MB multimedia (MMC) or secure digital (SD) card data storage system with automatic storage on the base station and instrument.
  • Real-Time Clock – Provides time and date stamps for “last calibration” and “last bump test” dates.
  • Pump – The pump has a DC motor, micro-diaphragm, and 6V PCB mount. The typical flow rate is 300 ml/min.
  • Calibration Gas Connections – 3.18 mm (1/8 in.) SMC connect sub-miniature coupling with two gas inlets (standard) and five gas inlets (maximum).
  • Detector Configuration – Automatic recognition of instruments and sensors. It is user-settable with Safety Suite Device Configurator (SSDC) software (excluding GasAlertClip Extreme).

Installation and Deployment Methods

The MicroDock II does not require a computer to bump test and calibrate but it does require one to use the Honeywell Safety Suite Device Configurator (SSDC). The software enables you to manage your fleet of docks and gas detectors, reducing the administrative burden and simplifying compliance. Collect, analyze, and report information to comply with government regulations and corporate safety policies. The MicroDock II user manual details how to access the SSDC software. Hetek’s training and consulting department ensures clients are well-equipped to use all the products sourced from us.
