PS 200 – Auto Bump & Calibration
The multifunctional PS 200 – Auto Bump & Calibration (ABC) Station provides simple but intelligent testing and calibration of the PS 200 portable 4-gas monitor.
The PS 200 monitor measures any combination of lower explosive limit (LEL), oxygen (O2), carbon monoxide (CO), and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gases. Both instruments are available from Hetek Solutions Inc. as single units or combined as the PS 200 Series. The ABC Station has a user-friendly design and can perform as a stand-alone unit or from a PC. It dramatically improves compliance record-keeping, efficiency, and accuracy.
Key Features of The PS 200 – Auto Bump & Calibration
The PS 200 – Auto Bump & Calibration Station is manufactured by Teledyne, a global leader in safety, flame and gas detection systems, and is certified to multiple international and regional standards. It bumps, calibrates, and charges the PS 200 portable gas monitor that can be used in multiple industries serviced by Hetek, including gas utilities, water utilities, municipalities, and the midstream and upstream oil and gas sectors.
Use the PS 200 Auto Bump & Calibration Station for the following:
- A ‘Quick’ Bump Test of approximately 15 seconds gas of duration to verify the activation of the instrument alarms.
- A ‘Full’ Bump Test of approximately 60 seconds gas duration to test the alarm setpoints and sensor response. It will automatically calibrate failed gas ranges.
- A Full Calibration of the instrument of approximately 60 seconds gas duration.
- As a Charging Station for the PS 200 4-gas detector.
Hetek’s services include the repair and calibration of all equipment sold by Hetek and several other instrumentation brands.
Automatic Bump Testing and Calibration
The PS200 portable gas detector is designed as PPE to detect the abnormal presence of one or more gases in work areas. It can be tested, calibrated, and charged when you insert it in the Auto Bump & Calibration Station. The automatic station uses a traffic light system to indicate whether the PS200 meets the selected parameters: Green (On), Orange (Test in progress), Green (Pass), and Red (Fail).
The PS 200 Auto Bump & Calibration Station has a cover that initiates automatic testing when closed. The bump/calibration gas must be connected before closing the cover, as an integral pump automatically draws gas into the instrument for the bump test or calibration. You can select the following calibration gases: methane (default), propane, butane, and pentane.

Installation and Deployment Methods
The PS 200 has its own power supply but can be charged via the PS 200 – Auto Bump & Calibration (ABC) Station. A 12V universal power supply (PSU) charges the station, and a vehicle power supply is available as an accessory.
Pre-installed PS 200 Settings software, a Windows™-based ‘stand-alone’ application, is available on the Auto Bump & Calibration Station and a USB memory stick. The application allows users to edit test parameters and view or print test results. A full audit trail of tested instruments and the resulting data is retained in the station memory until it is downloaded. The instrument ‘Cal Due’ date is also updated on the successful completion of the calibration process. Data transfer between the station and a PC is facilitated via the USB memory stick.
