The establishment of an odorization program within a gas utility must answer the questions "Why odorize?" and "What must odorization accomplish?".  The answers are obvious; we odorize for safety and to meet stated regulations.  Odorization audits play an important role in assuring that natural gas is continuously and effectively odorized in the interests of public safety.  

Hetek staff are fully trained to conduct audits to identify areas of positive performance and to highlight areas needing additional attention.  Instruments for odorization monitoring are both manufactured and distributed by Heath and range from on-line flame photometric chromatographs to sniff type digital odor concentration meters for portable field applications.
