Pressure and Flow Monitoring
During conservation programs and water audit's, most people pay careful attention to the amounts of flow located and saved etc. However, we at HETEK strongly believe that a pressure profile should be undertaken concurrent to the baseline flow profile and the post retrofit profile, to ensure that system supply conditions meet the same criteria as those during the baseline test prior to retrofit. Traditionally, pressure monitoring was undertaken using either gauges or manpower to continually read them at various intervals throughout the study period or, by utilizing a chart recorder with an interval bourdon gauge to record pressures. These methods very and do not lend themselves to accurate and efficient data retrieval and transfer to the computer for further analysis. New technology provides the opportunity to conduct both flow and pressure measurements simultaneously for a few minutes to a number of days. This can be accomplished using portable or permanent flow and pressure equipment in conjunction with suitable data acquisition recorders. Using this data properly may not provide sufficient data for your computational requirements but will establish system profiles that may identify problems. Many types of pressure and flow metering equipment are available including high resolution and models both low measurement ranges and high measurement ranges are available specifically to meet clients requirements and budgetary constraints. System component integration is one of HETEK Solutions Inc's specialties. HETEK can provide design input from a simple component to the entire system, including installation, and commissioning of the system. |
